Some notes on accessibility:

Inside the Broad Art Lab

THE ART LAB DOES NOT HAVE AUTOMATIC DOORS. The main entrance doors are double doors and there are two sets of them with a small atrium space in between. The side entrance doors further down on Grand River are double doors and there is just one set of them. The door from the back-parking lot into the exhibit space is a single door and is often locked. Doors cannot be propped for security reasons, but Art Lab staff have been told to be on the lookout for people who wish to come in and need the door held for them.

  • There are gender neutral bathrooms available at the MSU Broad Art Lab.
  • Entrances are barrier-free
  •  The floor is tile and polished cement
  • The space has many large windows and is quite bright – roughly 50% window and 50% wall
